Cold Spell puts the “power” in power jazz. Featuring original compositions and arrangements, Cold Spell take you on a melodic journey through the styles of fusion, funk, indie jazz rock, and many others. Including covers by Wayne Horvitz, Lettuce, and Snarky Puppy, Cold Spell brings together both music and people from all around the country for a night of modern jazz.

Modern Bridges is a Seattle-based group that aims to bring new sounds to the jazz language. It consists of saxophonist Aidan Siemann, Jacob Linden on keyboards, bassist Max Young, and drummer Noah Mark. They write and arrange all of their own songs and bring in styles that pay homage to modern jazz greats like Chris Potter, Kneebody, and The Bad Plus. This show will include songs that will be recorded on their debut album this summer, as well as other original compositions by members of the group.
No cover. The musicians are compensated by your donations.. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is All Ages until 10pm.
