Desert Fantasy, created by Jacob Ransom, features all original compositions and presents an eclectic mix of acoustic instruments: percussion, vibraphone, marimba, and drumset, blended with electronics: analog synths, drum machines, and live processing. Desert Fantasy sounds like old video game music that combines elements of math rock while blending traditional world percussion.
Hyaline is a musical project that blends classical and contemporary genres with electronic and groove-based live percussion. Drawing inspiration from the natural world and human connection, the band’s cinematic sound features intricate, orchestral melodies meant for dancing, for arenas filled with lights, and for turning up on road trips under the stars. Hyaline is comprised of Bill Panks, violin/keys, Aleida Gehrels, viola, and Jacob Ransom, percussion.
Opening the evening is Eat Your Greens, an experimental electronic vibraphone and drumset project by Storm Benjamin and Aaron Butler.
