Advance tickets can only be purchased online-we do not sell advance tickets at the venue. Refunds are not available within 48 hours of the event. Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. 

We are now accepting reservations for diners! After purchasing tickets, please visit the Reservations page to book a table. Table reservations require advance tickets, and are only for guests who plan to dine at the Royal Room.  We do not take reservations over the phone.

Seating for non-diners is first come, first served. Please arrive early to guarantee a seat!

Ray Larsen’s Next Big Thing is a big rotating cast of Seattle’s spectacular improvisers interpreting Ray’s large-ensemble compositions, at first sight, with minimal onstage instructions.

Ray directs the band on-mic in his particular impromtu and engaging style, inviting the audience behind the scenes to hear some industry-speak and see how the music gets made. This is not a rehearsal — the band gets one chance to play each composition, always with very special results. A rare and one-of-a-kind experience.

The opening set features accordion and trumpet duo Josh and Ray. Having celebrated the release of their album “The Horn Bellows” last year, Josh and Ray are about to head into the recording studio with a collection of new tunes. Come hear this set live before it is captured and immortalized in hi-fi digital recording.
