Kevin McHugh is back for a visit to his native Seattle after spending the last 11 years working as a jazz pianist and composer in Tokyo. Here he presents songs he wrote for his Tokyo-based group NOUON, performed by top local musicians Ben Thomas (vibraphone), Eric Likkel (bass clarinet), and Evan Woodle (drums). NOUON’s music has been described as “cinematic Tokyo-inspired post rock” and “the jazz you’d hear if you lived in a snow globe”.
Please note: Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room. For sold out shows standing room may be the only available space. Please come early to ensure you get a table. Reservations can be made for those who are coming for dinner as well as the show. The Royal Room is All Ages until 10pm.
