Pinehearts:
Just beneath the eaves of Washington’s Cascade Mountains, The Pine Hearts are combining wood, ore and soul to channel the colossal, organic spirit of the untamed Pacific Northwest. Their sound, like the environment around them, is ever-changing, harnessing classic country songwriting, the powerful emotive themes of experimental folk, and the blazing-fast pickin’ rhythms of traditional Appalachian bluegrass
Stackhouse & the Garden:
Acoustic, orchestral, uncommon Americana. Near constant three-part harmony, a soaring string section, and lyrics running the gamut from the endless possibilities of new love, to the oppressive dystopian realities of climate change, to the perils of the summer wedding season. For their debut Stackhouse & The Garden album, fiddler Collin Stackhouse brought together powerhouse performers from the West Coast in a whirlwind September week. Mutual friends met on a Monday, and by Sunday evening had recorded a new album. Hottest Summer Yet is one part pop songwriter collaboration, one part old-time music, and one part an experiment in time-based art.
