Medicine Hat hit their peak in 94, born from Sean, Ben and two Jasons meeting at Shoreline Community College in 1990. By 1993, they were playing to packed houses throughout the Northwest, including Sublime’s first Seattle show, X’s tour for Hey Zeus, and a show in Tri-Cities where TchKung nearly torched the HoeDown down. A dedicated, mostly all-ages following kept them playing constantly.  They were the subject of a photo shoot in Rolling Stone covering “normal weirdness in Seattle”.

Fugazi, Drive Like Jehu, Motown, Gang of Four, and the new romantic movement all spilled into their ears along with everything played in Seattle at the time. Sean’s vocals sailed beautifully over an angular hardcore surface. Wayne Horvitz may not remember, but he played on their one record, released on Nabil Ayer’s Collective Fruit Records before disbanding in 95. They are back for a rare set and a few surprises.

El Steiner They cant do this alone! Since 1990 El Steiner has been entertaining audiences all across the great NW. With their brand of music called Freak Funk. A joyful musical celebration, a lifestyle, a dance!  El Steiner features members of Goodness, The Rockfords and The Squirrels. Vocally and instrumentally El Steiner is in a class all by itself.

Chimestone has been recognized for powerful and emotional vocals coupled with melodic, driving, and hook-laden musicianship – equal parts pop and rock. Radio friendly while being true to their independent roots, the new release “Chimestone” recorded at Seattle’s legendary London Bridge Studio features new lead guitarist Jonathan Plum, who joins founding members Jake Gordon (vocals), Ted Schuehle (bass), and Paul Michaels (drums). The band first gained local attention in the Seattle live music scene due to their high energy performances. Their debut release “Just For Grins” was the first independent release recorded at Seattle’s Bad Animals studio to sell more than 8,000 copies without promotion from a major label. Chimestone is currently writing and doing demos for their next recording, scheduled for late 2023.
