Aberdeen is a Brooklyn-based horn band known for its soulful melody-driven instrumental arrangements led by Brian Plautz and featuring Ross Pederson, Adam Neely, Shubh Saran, Jacob Melsha, Jared Yee and Allison Philips. The band — made up of saxophones, trombone, trumpet, guitar, bass and drums — never ceases to fill a room with energy. Aberdeen’s albums Downpour and Held Together showcase their massive, one-of-a-kind sound. Demonstrated during Aberdeen’s U.S. State Department tour to Central Asia, Aberdeen’s music is about community; a large collective of musicians with the hope of sharing its music to audiences throughout the world.
