Dangerknife, the world’s premier Furniture Punk band is playing their last show (as a Washington based band) as our guitarist is moving away, far into the wood.
For nearly ten years, the reclusive Dangerknife group has been destroying silent films with their unique brand of Furniture Punk* and chaos. Taking films and creating a fully improvised soundtrack and quite possibly creating new, unexplored questions of why.
Come out and celebrate as we bid them farewell in style as we improvise a live soundtrack to the 1924 film THE EPIC OF EVEREST!
DANGERKNIFE IS:
Nico Sophiea – Drums
Joe Kaufman – Bass
Mack Fisher – Synth
Darb Aduor – Guitars
(Darb Aduor aka, Brad Rouda is our long-time sound man extraordinnaire at the Royal Room. Many of you know him. Some of you even love him. Please come out and bid him farewell, as he makes his journey to the great lands of Boise, Idaho!)
*Furniture Punk – As a couch to a room can impact in multiple ways – the fabric, the color, texture and even placement – can change the experience in that room, music and imagery can also. What was joyous can become a tragedy; a dream a nightmare.
