Mettle Lark is dynamic, melodic, prog-ish rock band comprised of seasoned Seattle musicians that have been exciting audiences in venues across Seattle for nearly two years. The band is ecstatic to celebrate the first recording project, “Love Letter To The Future” on ThornSound Recordings; This special show will be supported with old friends, Dirt Fishermen from Boise, ID (formerly on C/Z Records).
In trying to describe Mettle Lark’s unique sound, fans have come up with: Patti Smith meets Black Sabbath; Pat Benatar meets King Crimson; Elton John meets Kate Bush meets Type O Negative and Eleven. Their sound is dynamic and Gretta’s story telling aims to console the anxieties of this modern world. Mettle Lark will be joined on stage with a choir of children (music students of Gretta’s), and other friends. Mettle Lark will be playing their entire EP plus older and newer songs at one of their favorite venues, The Royal Room.
