Critical Mass Big Band pays tribute to two of the giants of big band music with an evening of music composed by Gordon Goodwin for the Big PHAT Band and music played by the Maynard Ferguson Big Band.
Celebrating 25 years of music-making in 2026, this premiere 18-piece group, featuring five saxophones, four trombones, five trumpets, piano, guitar, bass, and drums, consistently delivers energetic big band jazz that never fails to impress.

Band members include Rob Parks, Phil Demaree, Neal Adams, Seth Ahnert, Al Lowe, Barbara Hubers-Drake, Paul Gillespie, Ian Basques-Jellison, Sara Voskhul, Vinnie Christ, Doug Lora, Dave Buck, Jim Elder, Victor Ross, Greg Klein, Mark Baker, Jeff Leinbaugh, and Marty Molloy.
