The eponymous leader of the Joe Casalini Trio is still recovering from elective surgery.
He is definitely improving, but it’s a slow process.
In the meantime, the upcoming March 13 Happy Hour will be covered by The Talne Trio — yet another small klezmer group playing original arrangements of classic tunes from the Ashkenazi Jewish tradition.
The trio features Kim Goldov on violin, the ubiquitous Aaron Harmonson on bass, and the indefatigable Mark Lutwak on piano and maybe accordion.
As always, great people, good drinks & food, and lovely tunes. No cover.
