Advance tickets can only be purchased online-we do not sell advance tickets at the venue. Refunds are not available within 48 hours of the event. Tickets do not guarantee seating during shows at the Royal Room.

Table reservations require advance tickets, and are only for guests who plan to dine at the Royal Room.  We do not take reservations over the phone. Seating for non-diners is first come, first served. Please arrive early to guarantee a seat!

Piano Starts Here: Marian McPartland and Her Guests

Marian McPartland was a musician who straddled the line between swing and modern Jazz, and possessed and adventurous, risk-taking spirit. This spirit was what catapulted her to becoming a household name, with her wildly popular radio show “Piano Jazz”, in which she interviewed and collaborated with many of the greatest musicians around.

Piano Starts Here highlights the work of some of the most prolific and talented composers and pianists to have ever tackled the instrument. Each of the performances brings together Seattle’s finest pianists to perform the works of the artist selected for that evening on the Royal Room’s Steinway B grand piano.
