THE LOVE MARKETS are a Weimar Berlin-inspired band who make songs of love and revolution, injecting high-stakes soul into their modern mashup of bordello brass, political bite, sinuous rhythm and funky bass. Their critically acclaimed record releases include WORLD OF YOUR DREAMS, BEAUTY FACTORY, and 2025’s luminous SHIP OF LIGHT. Louise’s emotionally rangy compositions find ideal form in the band’s signature sound: Robertson Witmer’s shape-shifting accordion, the strut and croon of David Marriott Jr.’s trombone, Dave Pascal’s dexterously juicy bass, Chris Monroe’s sensuous drums, and Louise’s own uber-expressive vocals and adventurous keys. A fixture in Seattle’s arts scene since 2009, the Love Markets have donned their well-worn slips on the city’s most storied stages, appeared on TV and radio, collaborated with multidisciplinary artists of all stripes, and performed for many comradely causes.
