Meet Minami Fukuda, a Japanese-born soul and blues singer known for her powerful yet sultry vocal style and a penchant for improvisation.

After a successful show in 2022, Minami is making a return to the Royal Room with a fresh lineup of exceptional musicians and performers. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience her musical magic.

Minami kickstarted her career in Japan, sharing the stage with world-class blues luminaries like Weeping Harp Senoh and Satoru Hiramatsu.

Her musical journey led her to Seattle, where, alongside her husband, bassist Dylan Hughes, she released her first EP titled “Sum of Us” in 2014, performing under the name Minami & the Cyclophonics. In 2016, her music video for “Only One” captivated audiences.

Minami’s influences span a wide spectrum, encompassing artists such as Joss Stone, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, and the vibrant world of Japanese Pop music. Backed by a talented band, her compelling vocals, sensitive yet powerful, combined with her dynamic stage presence, create an undeniable chemistry.
