A French vibraphone virtuoso to watch, Simon Moullier — the “unchallenged new star of jazz vibraphone” (DownBeat) of whom Herbie Hancock said: “Never heard anyone play vibes like that before” — dazzles with dynamic phrasing and emotional nuance.

Award-winning vibraphonist, composer, arranger and producer, Moullier has distinguished himself as one of the leading voices of his generation. After being mentored by Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, and Jimmy Heath at the Thelonious Monk Institute, and Darren Barrett at Berklee College of Music – he has since worked with Gerald Clayton, Ben Wendel, Terri-Lyne Carrington, Buster Williams, and is featured on recordings with Mark Turner, Kendrick Scott, and Miguel Zenón.

As a bandleader Simon has released five albums, one of which was nominated in the “Best New Jazz Artist” category at the Jazz Music Award in 2022. His most recent album Elements of Light  features Gerald Clayton and Marquis Hill and was released in 2024 on Candid Records.

Moullier’s ensemble includes Simon Moullier (vibes), Chris McCarthy (piano), Luca Alemanno (bass), and local player Xavier Lecouturier (drums).

Opening is the Dylan Hayes Trio where the fast-rising pianist Dylan Hayes of the acclaimed New York/Seattle Meridian Odyssey joins with Xavier Lecouturier (drums) and Stanley Ruvinov (bass). The Dylan Hayes Trio brings an electrifying blend of modern jazz, rich harmonies, and fearless improvisation. With dynamic interplay and deep musical chemistry, the trio crafts performances that are both soulful and forward-thinking, captivating audiences with their energy, creativity, and seamless connection to the jazz tradition.
