Where’s Beth is an alt folk band led by songwriter Sarabeth Weszely. Drawing on her work as a professional ghostwriter, Sarabeth’s songwriting is “poetic, playful, and grounded in experience” (various small flames). The raw devotional quality of her songs draws on longtime influence, Sufjan Stevens, while her unconventional approach to rhyme and phrasing recalls the likes of Joni Mitchell and Connie Converse. ‘Overtime Waltz’ is an original holiday song about loneliness and burnout in the season of long nights. It was recorded live from her home studio in Seattle.
