The Thursday Collective is a Seattle-based collaborative effort conceived by John Tomlinson. We have been exploring and performing instrumental based music since 2018. Our eclectic style includes jazz, funk, bossa nova, rock and pop, originals and covers, curated by the musical loves of the band members. This year we are very excited to add vocals by Anneka Olson, a frequent opener for Greta Matasa. We are always excited to include guest singers and players in the set.

John Tomlinson – Hammond and Yamaha keyboards
Ted Gauld – Guitar
Steve Germiat – Bass
Jason Van Pelt – Drums and alto sax
Terry Tanner – Drums and percussion
Anneka Olson – Vocals

UMAMI JAZZ FUSION is Seattle’s premier jazz fusion band.
Featuring the band’s favorite tracks of the great fusion era and beyond while folding tasty originals into the mix, the band is the brainchild of trumpeter John Sakura (Tamaraw, Full Circle, Type A!) The powerhouse rhythm section, driven by Dave Austin on drums (Michael Powers, Lee Oskar, DoctorfunK), features the funky bass work of Jim Cliff (Richard Marx, Roger Fisher, DoctorfunK) and Leonard Berman’s stellar guitar (Tamaraw, Full Circle, DoctorfunK.) Local journeymen Bruce Laven on keyboards and lead vocals (Duffy Bishop, The Squirrels, Paul Green), and Scott Adams on saxophone (Heart, Spike and the Impalers, Type A!) round out the ensemble.
