South Seattle Friends and Neighbors- Last Minute Maybes and The Rolling Blackouts!

The Last Minute Maybes are excited to be doing a show with The Rolling Blackouts – another South Seattle band (who pre-COVID did a Royal Room residency for a year!).

Upbeat, sassy, community minded, and full of soul, the Last Minute Maybes have been putting on live shows for over 7 years, sometimes literally at the last minute! This female-fronted band has developed a following as a South Seattle staple, with a collage of influences including jazz, rock, funk, Latin grooves and 90s pop.  Combining vocal harmonies with rockin’ guitar, bass, accordion/keys, and drums, we wiggle and groove our way into your hearts till that toe tapping turns into a full-on body dance.

The Rolling Blackouts honed their Americana country groove sound over a 17 year period with a weekly Monday night gig at St Clouds restaurant in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle. When that beloved residency came to an end, they followed it with a year of early Monday night music making in the bar of the wonderful Royal Room. The band members went their separate ways in 2019, but keep in touch. When possible they reunite for shows, and it’s time for some more musical joy with Tom Bennett (acoustic guitar), Marc Brown (bass), Nova Devonie (accordion), David Keenan (electric guitar), and Kelly Van Camp (drums/harmonica). All members of this lively quintet sing, so there are plenty of harmonies and sharing of lead vocals. They perform a mixture of originals penned by Tom, David and Nova, along with lots of great covers chosen and arranged by the fine musicians in this tight band.
